Member & Board Inductions in 2007/2008
We have now been meeting at the South Perth Learning Centre for 4 years! This may be a record for the longest time we have stayed in the same venue!
This year, club President Simone Carot Collins celebrate World Rotaract Week in hospital, giving birth to second daughter Eva. By the end of the Rotaract year we had four children regularly coming to the meetings with their parents!
Our club started the year with 4 active members and 2 inactive members. We ended with 6 active members, however Marcos and Simone Carot Collins had to leave on June 30th on account of having reached the age limit!

Natasha Freudenstein
Although she first made contact with us some year 3 years earlier, it wasn't until August 2006 that Natasha Freudenstein first came along to one of our meetings.
With a passion for youth theatre, Natasha soon joined the Storm the Stage national organizing committee, and was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth (by a heavily pregnant Simone!) on 3rd March 2008.
Natasha coordinated the 2008 Storm the Stage heat in South Perth, and has taken on the roles of Vice President and Community Service Director for 2008/09.
Christina Portman
Christina Portman migrated to Perth in September 2006, and fortunately for us she had decided in advance that Rotaract would be a great way to make friends in her new country, and had made contact with us prior to her arrival.
Chrissie was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth by President Simone Carot Collins on the 16th January 2007.
Chrissie is serving as both the club Secretary and Treasurer for 2008/09!
Michael Cain
Michael Cain was inducted as a member of the Rotaract Club of South Perth by President Simone Carot Collins on the 7th November 2007.
Previously a charter member of the Rotaract Club of Goldfields, formed in 2006, Mike started attending activities of the Rotaract Club of South Perth off and on from February 2007. Mike has been a RYLA participant and a RYPEN facilitator, and is hoping to become a RYLA facilitator in 2009.
Rotaract Club of South Perth Board of Directors
The 2007/2008 Board of the Rotaract Club of South Perth was officially inducted on June 23rd. Simone Carot Collins was inducted as the 35th President of the Rotaract Club of South Perth, with her term starting a few days early as outgoing President Aaron moved to the Seychelles on June 26th!
The event was combined with the district changeover, with Maya Kraj-Krajewski passing the reins of DRR over to Marcos Carot.
The Board consisted of: Simone Carot Collins (President, Club Service Director & International Service Director), Lauren Savill (Vice President & Professional Development Director), Ian Ball (Secretary & Treasurer), and Marcos Carot Collins (Community Service Director)
